For those who don't know, I've been doing this twitter thing for a while now where I write one or two sentence horror stories on twitter. It's basically taking the idea that things are scarier when you leave them to the reader's imagination to the logical extreme. So all of you with twitter go and follow me! My twitter is here: twitter.com/12SecondHorror*edit* I just noticed it seems to be missing everything I wrote between March 8th and June 7th. Apparently it's a known issue and they should reappear when Twitter gets it fixed. If you feel like reading through my history, bear that in mind!

I saw this in your sig on the Cape forums awhile back and checked it out. I dig it, nice to see you're still running with it.

It looks like my old tweets have been restored, so if anyone read through it yesterday, check again - there are about 30 more between March 8th and June 7th.

Speaking of Horror Tweets: there's is webcomic artist I follow on twitter named Tyson Heese, creator of Boxer Hockey. Last night on his twitter account he did a series of "nightmare fuel" horror pic tweets. and I thought I'd share them here. Here's the link to his twitter accont

...it probably says a whole lot about me that, after seeing those pictures, my first thought was, "Hey, those remind me of the mythical Spongebob Squarepants episode with Squidward's suicide". And I was right. I suspect this says a lot about me.

I hate you so much for linking to that site now. I have smile.jpg in my head now. Better go spread the word....

For those wondering what we've been talking about with "smile.dog" and "smile.jpg", here's a link. Scroll down to the bottom for the image, but read the story that accompanies it. But be aware, it is kind of creepy.

So, I'm still doing these! But I actually wanted to post something related to all the other creepy stuff in this thread: The SCP Foundation. It's basically a collection of "Dangerous entities" as catalogued by a fictional secret X-files type organization called the SCP foundation (which stands for "Secure, Contain, Protect"). It's got a HUGE database of stories about these things, some of which are intended to be humourous, others which are downright creepy. Some choice ones are: SCP 93, the Red Sea Object (probably the best one, make sure you read all the follow up links at the bottom to get the full story). SCP 701, the Hanged King's Tragedy SCP 173, the very first one (basically a rip off of the weeping angels from Dr. Who, but the page image alone is worth it). SCP 610, the Flesh that Hates (HOLY SHIT that page image is WTF? I don't even know how they did it. The story is good too; again, read the follow up stuff at the bottom). SCP 914, the Clockworks (A giant black box that takes an object as input, and has 5 different settings, which will transmute the object in different ways as an output. Has a GIANT page linked at the bottom listing the funny/terrifying effects of various things tried in the machine).

It's basically TVTropes with creepy stories instead of pop culture.

It's not a twitter thing and I knew about it for a while thanks to Little Kuriboh of Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged doing a 1 shot special about it, but when I went to the links he provided in the description it just left me kinda confused. But a steam friend of mine sent me a link to the playlist of the Marble Hornets/Slender Man thing with all the vids from the Marble Hornets channel and the affilated vids that are part of the timeline and it's pretty awesome. here's the playlistI'm pretty much desensitized to the scary stuff. I mean stuff will make me jump and I'll be a little more watchful and methodic when playing a horror game, but once I'm out of it it usually doesn't affect me anymore. That said once I finished Part 1 of the series (up to the end of entry 26) and I went to bed some time afterwards I felt a slight sense of unease and dread and took me about an hour before I actually could finally fall asleep. It's got a real creepypasta story like vibe and it's kinda like the Blair Witch project, except it's actually good.

Here's some illustrated dream journals some chick did. A couple of them gave me a 12 Second Horror vibe - hinting at something horrible and better left to the imagination.
