Wait...We can choose between all 8 survivors for any of the campaigns with this?
Does this mean L4D might end up with 8 man survival/16 man versus modes soon?

Well I noticed the article mentions campaigns in regard to that aspect.
emphasis mine.
So that may mean versus may only have the L4D2 survivors. So I'd imagine it'd still be 4 vs 4 still officially supported. Course they may be able to have all 8 selectable, but block out more survivor choices after 4 people.

1) Michael Avon Oeming is awesome, so the digital comic is no doubt going to be good. His Ares miniseries is an oft-overlooked gem.
2) Old survivors, and one of the old campaigns in L4D2? Yes please. Here's hoping this means they'll eventually port all the old campaigns over to L4D2 like they talked about wanting to do while the game was being worked on.
3) I must go with Uma. Kill Bill. He's the least cool of the original survivors.
4) Zoey and Rochelle in the same campaign. How long before the hardcore ERP crowd starts using L4D2 games as a sex chat room? Place your bets.

This, this right here? F'ing awesome, especially if they put in interaction dialogue between the L4D and L4D2 survivors. I point to the exchange between Francis and Nick in The Passing as evidence.

We might just have to start playing L4D2 more when this DLC comes out I prefer most of the L4D1 cast to L4D2's, anyway. (Except Nick and Ellis. Those are the only two good ones in L4D2's cast IMO)

Hmm, if you can play the old survivors in the new campaigns, does that mean they've recorded new dialogue for them to fit? Or do they just use their old lines in response to the stuff that's the same (like "Boomer!").
It'd be awesome if the old survivors had lines interacting with the new ones.

Kill Bill, hmph. I was playing L4D2 last night and someone said they thought Bill's M16 should be like a level 20 weapon

Really would love to get into LFD 1 and 2, however, due to the ludicrous Australian Ratings board, the fact that LFD2 got censored all to hell (To the point that they removed the riot cop zombie due to it being *GASP* technically shooting at a cop), leaves me rather tentative about buying it....

It's a pain in the ass, but you can buy a foreign copy and play that without a problem. Steam isn't smart enough to figure out where you are and apply changes or anything like that. You could even just have a friend in the States or Europe (other than Germany, they censor it there too) gift you a copy via Steam and you'll be good to go.

Be thankful you have no riot cops because they're nothing but a pain in the ass.

Stupid military guys. Kill the carriers...shit give the carriers all the supplys and start building the anti zombie apocalypse army. I'd still get it, even censored, it's cool.
