((Okay, here's the deal. I'm wanting to see what your characters would be like in another universe. Maybe the world's dying out because of some plague. Maybe it's a utopia, in the truest sense of the word. Maybe the world's exactly the same as ours, but with the superheroes instead being farm animals. I don't know. This is a place for you to let your imaginations run wild, and for you to write whatever you want about NUL or BA characters.)) ((Also, there may or may not be an Inf reward for the best story at the end of a specified time limit. You'd have to write some before I decided. ))

(( You know a long, LONG time ago there were various writing challenges being done on the virtue forums. One of them was actually to write up what your hero would be like in an alternate universe. I wrote one for Caios where the idea being the vampires control the entire planet but like a utopia - kinda like preatoria only where vampires rule instead of superheroes - and Caios was Queen. Sappy as it sounds it was actually really well received and alot of people actually asked to write their AU heroes as being from the same world as mine.
At any rate, not sure what I'll be able to come up with, but I have been thinking about writing an intro story of sorts for the DCUO version of Caios. ))

((I had an idea a while back about a sort of writing challenge-ish thing mashing up CoH player characters with established comic book characters, a la the old DC/Marvel Amalgam thing. Maybe I'll resurrect my Warp Factor/Punisher mashup. Gotta fish the ideas out and sift through them to get to the good stuff first.))

((Would Praetoria count at all? There's a story I've been itching to write about the relationship between Angelica De Luca and Floriana De Luca that I haven't found an excuse to write just yet. While they aren't exactly different versions of the same person, they are closely related. Both have existed at some point in both worlds, but one crucial event went differently for both of them in Praetoria than it did in Primal Earth.))

((I should write something up on this. may take a bit because next week is finals week. Only would it be fair to write about Mariel in here since she is Multi-Dimensional. Maybe I should write about one of the other Character I have.))

((Here’s a little thing I wrote, exempt from Schrodinger’s Contest.))
The year is 1055. Almost a decade has passed since the death of King Cole. The lands themselves have devolved into a series of warring nations, each looking to expand their holdings and eventually reach the ranks of the Seven Survivors, those who stand the best chance of succeeding King Cole and ruling over the land for the rest of their lives.
-----------------------------------
“Are you certain that I shouldn’t field more soldiers here? It looks to be where the bloodied, fallen ones’ forces are the weakest.”
“Nay, good sir. I can guarantee that any forces that you field on that path will run into the Lady of Chaos herself, and the potential casualties would be too great for any of your men to escape unharmed. Even if you fielded your generals, the route would be as such that you would be cripples, and the Lady of Chaos would simply take your lands. You do not wish that, do you?”
“...Nay, I would say not, Sir Alheron. But the strategy you are suggesting, it would leave us weakened to the east, what if they would circle around and attack our unguarded flanks?”
“Sir Walker, have you ever known the Fallen Ones to attack from behind, when they could simply drench themselves in the blood of their enemies with a frontal assault? It’s simply not in their nature! They’re nothing more then mindless, ravening beasts!”
“Yes... Yes, I see your point. Thank you, Sir Alheron. Thank you for your assistance to our war effort.”
“My word, Sir James, you should know by now that I live only to see the rise of King Jack’s lands!”
“Ah, yes. That reminds me. Your payment, good sir.”
“Thank you, my lord. May the gods have grace upon you in battle.”
---------------------------------
“Those accursed lapdogs of the Wolf King have taken another of our baron’s holdings!”
“My lord, what did you expect, after your razing of those farms! Do you now see why I advised you to keep a tighter leash on your men?”
“Those fools desecrated our lands! They work foul magics upon the very soil! Do you expect us to leave that slight unpunished?”
“Good sir, I am only suggesting-”
“I should tear your throat out right here, Alheron!”
“Sir, this anger is much better spent upon the heathen Wolf King, do you not agree?”
“Then tell me, Alheron! What do you suggest we do to avenge ourselves!”
“Have you not yet noticed that the Wolf King’s forces are spread thin so soon after their victory? Attack here, and the forces that took the fortress would be starved to the point where they could be overrun easily.”
“You had better be right, Alheron.”
“My payment, Lord Bowman?”
“Here. You are lucky that the Lady Caios find you amusing.”
“Heh. I suppose I am. Good day, Lord Bowman. May Lady Caios watch over you.”
“And also you.”
