Yeah, I totally get what you're saying and I can't argue the point really. I've also worked hard on making games so I know a rushed project when I see one. It's sad because Bioware is one of the few companies that can get away with releasing a game When Its Done. Still, while it definitely has its flaws, it's still a great game completely worth buying. I guess for me at least the problems you mentioned didn't bother me as much to take away from the fun of the whole thing.
One more thing regarding the quest chain you mentioned. There is more of a significance to it, particularly later on, which again I don't want to spoil for anyone, but it has to do with the First Enchanter and making it so picking sides isn't so much of a foregone conclusion.

Just finished it last night, and I'd have to say that I found it more satisfying than ME2 on the whole - namely in that your actions have far-reaching consequences in the game world at large. The reuse of area maps got old fast, though. Also, archery rogues are kind of insane:

I'm in the third chapter with a elemental Mage, with Fire. talk about AOE boom room of X Monsters, Lighting - Meteor storm, room clear.
so far the best line in the game.
Paraphrase -Quest person : Need to find a Dark Hidden place where people can go with out being noticed.
Party member 1: Hanged-man Party member 2: Hanged-man party member 3: Defiantly the Hanged-man
(the look on the faces is what sold the scene)

FINALLY found a fix for my damn "You must be connected blah blah blah..." problem. And it's the strangest most mind baffingly one ever:
Open Internet Explorer Go to internet options click on connections tab click on LAN settings If Automatically Detect Settings is checked off, uncheck it, if it's unchecked, check it off (basically whatever it's set as, set it as the opposite)
That's it.
What the hell that had to do with anything, I haven't one fucking clue, but it worked dammit.

Oh sweet christ. I have had a similar issue with the original one (steam version) for ages. Constantly get a popup saying "cannot connect to the Dragon Age server."
