My old boot drive died, and after installing Windows on another drive my inboard ethernet won't work. Apparently this is a common problem with the Atheros Ethernet devices, though I can't for the life of me figure out why it worked before on the same hardware and same copy of Windows. Anyway I have a new NIC coming from Newegg, hopefully I'll be back in game by the weekend. Catch you guys then.

Man, what do you DO to your machines Warp? I think you've had more hard drives fail in the last year than I've ever had.

Honestly, it's only been two and they're the only two I've ever had fail. From ow on I'm sticking to Western Digital drives, they seem to hold up for me.

Dude, your 'puter Karma is epic odd. I think you emit a magnetic field that upsets drives. Also you can pick up Blackest Night for 99c an issues on Comix today.

Yeah, already nabbed it along with the GL and WW tie ins. I read that the Titans tie in is essential, would you say that's true?

When it comes to hardware problems, I feel your pain Warp. I had my laptop more or less stop working this week. Hopefully it's nothing an air can can't fix. Then again I got a new desktop to play with now as a result.

Sadly, I'm due for some computer-related mayhem soon. Looking at a reinstall at some point to clear up some electronic derp-foo, figure I might as well kick it up from 32-bit 7 Ultimate to 64-bit.
I am certain that hilarity shall ensue.

My win7 64-bit install was actually pretty painless. You have to reformat to do it's basically the same as a fresh OS install.
Though I also did the install while I unknowingly had a stick of bad RAM in the machine. THAT caused some problems. Important advice: Never try to upgrade more than one thing at a time on your computer. If something goes wrong, you won't know what it's from.

Yeah, switching to 64 bit really isn't a big deal. Pretty much all the hardware companies out there have good 64 bit drivers now.
