Also, any name ideas in case Jack can't get Urban Legends back? I snagged 'New Urban Legends' in case we want to use it. I think I kinda like it better than just 'Urban Legends' because it implies we're making our own way through the world.

I'm totally with The Blood Angels or the New Urban Legends as a name. Just need a path to it and a decsion on what we're gonna do about characters.
Spent about 2 hours on Saturday trading insults with the Dr. Crom in the D (Ascendant's alt) pretty heavy and fun stuff, Crom seems to think that Jack is as nice as that pretty boy Ascendant. Rose Maiden and Nurse White both expressed interest in what we are doing.
The Space Wolves sound pretty good to me, totally up for a WH40k static marine team, if only we could get chainsaw guns.

I like New Urban Legends, it'd be great for the core hub group I think. Now another question before we start building an SG up officially: to what extent do we want to represent ourselves as TMBZ? We went with the TMBZ name for the forum because we wanted to keep it multi-game, open to folks that we play L4D and that stuff with, and obviously because we didn't have an SG name. If we want, we could stick the TMBZ tag at the end of our SGs' names to identify them as all the same OOC group, and when/if we opt to recruit it'd give a name to the overall OOC group of players and make it easier to explain the multi-SG concept. It might look weird though, I dunno. What do you guys think?
Oh, also I was thinking some more about sort of consolidating some of these ideas to keep the number of SGs manageable. I'm thinking drop the horror themed idea since those characters would suit The Blood Angels or New Urban Legends just fine, and maybe consolidate the sci fi/steampunk idea and the Wolfepack into one group using the Wolfepack name; figure maybe Jack's broadened Wolfetec's focus to more esoteric forms of science or something. What do you guys think?

Well, however many SGs we end up with is fine with me, provided they can all fit in the coalition I'm not sure we'll need to have a [TMBZ] tag at the end though, seems a little too meta and possibly likely to draw attention to ourselves. We can just as easily explain it to people if we have to. The only thing I'd be concerned about is that we still make sure that we have a group for the characters who aren't going to go dark/vigilante and who don't fit into any of the other categories (because there's always going to be at least one person, even if past records show that it's usually me ).

I don't think adding a TMBZ tag to the SG names would be a good idea. That would take away from the game more then it would add.
I think a better idea would be to have an official TMBZ coalition and/or global channel that uses that name. ( Not sure what's going on with the old AS global, but it might be a good time to reset everything. )
From what I see so far, I was thinking that New Urban Legends would work very well for people who didn't want to go all dark and vigilante, while Blood Angels would focus on those that would. They would both be able to stay fairly open ended to allow for any odd concepts.

As happens, I do have a TMBZ global channel. I just wasn't sure if folks wanted to go to the trouble to switch. I'd be fine with it, it's not like AS has had anything to do with us in a while.

TMBZ = Sounds like a Reality TV Gossip Show www.tmz.com New Urban Legends = Sound Like a Boy Band that specializes in Hip Hop funk Blood Angels = Has a 40k reference in it, but since we where Guardian Angels it can work. I guess What is important and I think others have said this if we actually play together then it will be fun again, personally I won't play any game released on Steam and I will only continue to play CO* if everyone else does. I have Lifetime on CO and STO and I pay every 3 months for WOW, I think that is enough MMOs for me esp with school starting up going through a gender change and playing beta Cataclysm. p.s. what ever the final choice is, Malkavian Who is the only one of my Alts. with out a good guild name at the moment. Mariel has 'Legion of the Dammed' and Tiburon has 'Ordo Malleus'

Either one of those sounds like a good base group to work from. I beleive I can co-ally with the Fringe as well so we can use the facilities till the bases proper get up and running. These types of heroes seem to be the kind to hang out in a sin city esque smokey bar and club in the downtime as well, so it can double as another RP "scene."

We certainly can broaden the Wolfepack, the armor I wore during the the first Wolfepack was a dark/dark defender powered by magic crystals provided to Jack by Hexen (From Dauntless Revere, remember her?), one test pilot had been killed by the crystals, one went insane insisting the armor talked, and one just disappeared from inside the armor while it was being tested in a locked lab. So you know, freaky Fringe like science is a must. It's what Wolfetech does.
Maybe I'll build my DP/devices blaster tonight and have him form the pack.

On the firearms based group, maybe you could broaden the concept from just firearms to other natural weapons, like katanas an so forth to broaden the character concepts.

Hmmm a group of mundane/less then spectacular mutates out to make difference? Guns, swords, martial arts, psychic secondaries like pyrokinetics. Always underfunded, always out powered, usually out gunned. Hmmm

Grimdark is entertaining. Angry dark is of no interest to me.
Then again I play several incarnations of a robot that is always smiling. Always.
