Sorry for the caps, but I want to make sure no one else gets a bad deal on GR. Basically, the $30 version looks like it's cheaper but in reality you wind up paying more; the $40 version includes a free month, which comes to more than $10 unless you're paying by the year or something, and it includes the item pack to boot. So yeah, skip the $30 version and go with the $40 one, you wind up saving $5 and get the item pack for free, plus if you buy from somewhere other than NCSoft you'll be able to reinstall without downloading the whole game from their slow servers.

The $30 version is kinda legacy of when they were doing the pre-purchase of Going Rogue. Which let people get early access to Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning. Surprised they didn't remove it from the store really.

Hey, when I went to buy it there was only the one version and it was the pre-order version (this was on launch day, wtf?) I think their online store's gotten a bit overloaded.

i got the $26 version....but I didn't have the cash to reactivate my account and buy the pricey one, seems you have to activate to buy from the online store... /shrug anyway the switching from hero/villain bit is interesting and I cant wait for my MM to be a hero...

I just went retail, myself. I was downloading the client on launch day and the servers were so fucking slow, I think I got it installed faster by driving an hour round trip to the nearest Gamestop and buying it there, then installing it from the disk.
