Maybe I'm being pedantic, but is Weissblanco (whitewhite) even a real last name? Granted, I'm from an area of the country that's not particularly diverse, but I don't think I've ever seen a multilingual last name like that. the governor of California his last name Means Blackone Black.... .... when Making up a Name look at real names and have fun with parodies Schwarze (German for Black one) negger (modified Spanish for black)

humm. ya know , there was a bit of rp on the virtue boards a while back where Snowdog's lab got attacked by Longbow because they thought she was working with Fel Fox. Actualy she was, Rachelle is a field biologist, and needed a bio chemist to help with some samples. Jack's lawyers got her out of it, but that probably did generate some bad feelings with the peppermint boys at Longbow... part where longbow finds out and attacks starts here boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=117988&page=62

Bobby's got a point, no one from Rhode Island would be named Weissblanco. You don't really have unusual names like that in New England, names up here tend to be extremely conventional and almost always English, Scottish, French or Irish in origin. In Rhode Island you probably wouldn't even see a ton of French names, that's more something you see closer to the Canadian border.

So you guys are arguing about a last name, instead of the whole concept of it? A last name of all things...In a SUPER HERO MMO! For shame!

We were all criminals? That's it, I'm sinking the city. The Urban Legends disbanded around government BS, the whole Soaring Valor case was about a rotten media mogul and the Feds. I'm too old for this sht. Caios you need to take your nut cases and get the hell out I'm reforming the The Urban Legends.
(Something along those lines?)

My stupid last name is all over the East coast from Universities in Penn, to Law Libraries in Boston, and the Largest House in Newport Rhode Island has my last name on it. www.widener.edu/jssgallery.org/Essay/Widener_Library_Harvard/Widener_Library_Harvard.htmwww.encyclopedia-titanica.org/widener_family.htmlwikimapia.org/4837252/Miramar-estate

I was also going to suggest Wiessenblanc as an alternative. One of the ideas behind this name is particularly the double white meaning. As if to say this guy is a White Hat with a White Collar, a clear representation of what is normally the "good guys" but he's actually the bad guy here. Now then, as someone pointed out, since we are arguing about the name and none of the other parts, I assume everyone likes the rest of the ideas that I put up? If anyone wants to change or add anything now is the time!

So you guys are arguing about a last name, instead of the whole concept of it? Ha, I didn't think I'd start a big derail like this, I was just commenting that the name looked odd to me. But yeah, a Malta-backed politico being behind it makes the most sense to me.

That idea actually fits in really well, since I was planning on having my Malta gunslinger villian go blueside to join the supergroup for some new blood in the mix. This fits pretty well since she could bring the Malta-backing information to light and have a reason for running with everyone. She currently is heading a rogue splinter cell from her orginal Cobalt Unit. Said unit could be the one behind Mr. Whites plan, and thusly in her interest to see him go down in flames.
Once the story gets hammered out I could brew up a quick AE story vs malta to bring some closure to this whole chapter and move forward.

Depending on how far south this goes, It may give Stormmy the motivation he needs to finally dredge himself out of his rut and return the general shitwrecker that he once was. Ruination and awesome to be had the day that comes around, just so ya know.
That said, this all sounds quite plausible political meandering and trickery. Pawns, puppets and marionettes a plenty!

Yeah, I think the story's good. Not to beat the name thing to death, but really you could just go with Senator White or something like that. It says what it needs to say, and it sounds less far fetched.

I am planning on bringing my Dominator over to blueside to join you guys. He works (or at least used to work) for SynCor Technologies as a Rikti Weapons Research and Development team leader. He developed an android that was designed to eliminate street level threats in Paragon City, but Arachnos killed him in a car wreck. His partner attached his head and brain onto the android, but when it activated, it killed his partner...Its all here in this pamphlet. www.virtueverse.com/index.php/Havok_prime. Thing is, I'm having a slight bit of trouble coming up with an angle. He's always been an undercover agent in the Isles just looking for the man who killed him, so he's going to finally turn into a vigilante. He has a near limitless supply of cash, so long as he can dolly up some paperwork to convince SynCor Tech that it's legit, but he doesn't really have any government ties or anything. He's always just been a free agent hellbent on vengeance for both his partner and himself. So...suggestions? Anybody?

Well to keep things simple for everyone I'll just go with Donald White then.
I assume everything else is more or less fine for everyone so I'll probably start posting actual story stuff soon.
p.s. which reminds me, are we going to have a separate RP forum or anything else like that, or just leave everything in here?

heh, I just had a horribly amusing thought. What if the investigation into the GA included Senate hearings...and folks in the group got subpoenaed?

So if anyone is following the main RP thread for this story, and I know you all are. Things have just jumped into high gear big time. I wanted to take a moment to discuss the nature of all of the fake evidence that I had in mind, see if anyone has any ideas suggestions or plans they want to discuss. I think for now it's best to get everyone's reactions and struggles dealing with what's happening before everyone rushes in and fixes everything all too quickly. So as far as everyone is concerned for now, there is no way to really prove the evidence is fake, yet. However when the time comes we should be aware of the nature of this falsified evidence... Almost all of the videos were doctored, filmed specifically to provide evidence, they were completely setup with actors playing the victims of the various crimes, etc. ( i.e. There are no shop owners being extorted, those were merely Malta actors playing the parts while other malta stand-ins took the part of various Angels committing the crimes. ) These videos have been manipulated digitally to insert the angels committing the crimes. However they are using very advanced technology. The only exception is the bank robbery, that was an actual robbery with witnesses and everything, however the Angels in that robbery were also Malta operatives, using special hologram technology to appear exactly like whatever angles they were impersonating. There is one shred of proof that this was fake (beyond any alibis) the technology is very convincing to the human eye but not perfect. It was primarily intended to fool the security cameras and were optimized for that so they could have the perfect evidence. What malta hadn’t counted on was the average joe with a cell phone camera. Some body in that bank was just crazy enough to film the robbery with his cell phone. And the cell phone camera was completely incompatible with the hologram technology. While it doesn’t clearly show who was really behind the robbery, the cell phone camera footage makes it very obvious that the people involved were using some kind of holograms, whose images are horribly distorted on the cell phone. That cell phone video has a date and time stamp, and follows the events of the robbery perfectly. Ideal evidence that this was all faked. The trick, of course, is finding this person before anyone else does. In the end all of this evidence can be refuted in a court of law, and everyone’s innocence can be proven. But only after a lengthy and expensive amount of time and effort to show the videos are fake, not to mention all the very expensive lawyers required to make this all stick in a courtroom. That my ideas for now, please feel free to comment, add you own, change things drastically, whatever you think is best, let us know.
