Now I can not say anything about it . However, I can make a speculation about the future of MMOs. So I guess I should ask the all important question. Who will be playing? the Epic-ness of SWtOR is like WOW when it was new, only different and amazing. There is so much I wish I could say but I can't, not yet any way.

Without revealing too much that can't really be said just yet, I can say with full assurance the following.
Get this game! This will be every bit the awesome game that it is hyped up to be. This isn't just any run of the mill MMO we're talking about. This is not the sort of game you wait a couple of months to see how well it does before you try it. This game is worth every bit of play time you can put into it.
SWTOR has all the things that made WoW so great as well as all the things that made KOTOR so great. Only with better graphics and more options. You will want to play this game, and you will want to play with all 8 classes just to play through their storylines. And yes, even the non-force users are awesome in this game.

But does it have EMOTION? /PeterMolyneaux It has very deep and emotional voice acting. Since it has the ability to choose light side and dark side actions which effect the out come of a quest with Light and Dark options you will feel compelled to think about your choices. (this information is available from Gabe's review: www.penny-arcade.com/2011/6/22/swtor/ ) Simply put this game is excellent because it has emotion in it.

Well sure, but that's like, REGULAR emotion. Peter Molyneux emotion is where you have to like, control a dog by singing songs into your microphone so it will befriend an orphan and help raise him into a successful adult (if you sing poorly the kids life will turn out lousy).
I've been reading too many PeterMolydeux tweets lately.
On a related topic (that is, related to the thread, not this post), The Secret World is really the only MMO I've been really looking forward to lately, and then only because the setting is so unique (I'm honestly not sure how good it will be to PLAY). SWTOR will probably be like super popular, but I'm not really a Star Wars-y person.

SWTOR will probably be like super popular, but I'm not really a Star Wars-y person. Secret War is an open skill system much like SWG/EQ had you skill up based on use, it is not a leveling system like WOW or COH, SWtOR has a leveling system much like WOW, although it is done somewhat different. (Can't say what I want to here, hint: 1 class, 2 Advanced Class, 3 *************** ) Moreover, you do not need to be a fan of the Star Wars franchise to love this game, if you like solid polished RPG game which can be played solo or social, with fast fun dungeon runs "Flash points", than you will love this game. As for secret world I do admit that the story and open class system is interesting but since it uses the AOC engine I don't think it will be as good as the hype.

Something to keep in mind about SWTOR. If you play a republic trooper, You can play as Commander Motherfucking Shepard! At least that's how I play mine. ps. renegade all the way bitch! ( expect a large percentage of female troopers named Shepard as a result. ... totally worth it. )

So ... Now that an official release date has been announced, perhaps we should consider having a SW:TOR forum. Chances are more of us will be playing that then WoW, after all. At least now I know what I'll be doing for this year's winter break. See you all on Dec. 20.

I also applied, although I think I'll be spending most of my time playing Empire because the Agent and Bounty Hunter classes look the most interesting to me. I don't suppose anyone knows about cross-faction communication? Last I heard they weren't going to let you do it (wth?).

ok you guys are in.
Keep in mind, class alone is not the only reason to pick one side over another. Gameplay wise, the Bounty Hunter is identical to the Republic Trooper, and the Imperial Agent is identical to the Smuggler. Each class set is identical to the other in terms of abilities and effects, things like weapon options and visual styles and other cosmetic stuff are the only real differences. Mainly it's the story and style that are the biggest differences.
As for cross faction communication, I haven't tried that yet, but I do know for a fact there are a number of common locations across the galaxy that are shared between the two factions. ( Nar Shadda, Tatooine, etc, etc. ) Also the guild alliance and rivalry feature will allow you to keep track of people in opposing faction guilds, though how that will work exactly is still up in the air.

Thank God Bioware hasn't got the same stick up it's plug socket, you will be able to talk cross faction. Remember there is a Neutral battle ground on Hutta. where you can get teamed with the opposite faction. Hutball youtu.be/2jv2vStyaLk
